OMNIC is Announcing its New Factory in Italy

OMNIC is thrilled to announce the opening of its manufacturing facilities in Italy, along with a local representative office. The premises will be close to Milan, which is a perfect location in terms of industrial potential, extensive logistics routes, and developed alternative energetics infrastructure.
The new manufacturing facilities will occupy around 4,000 square meters with the potential to expand. It will be equipped with European robotics machinery and an Italian painting line. The company has budgeted 7 million euros for the factory development for 2024.
According to the company’s plans, the Italian factory will become 100% off-grid by the end of 2024, which aligns with OMNIC’s commitment to carbon-free manufacturing. It is expected to work on solar power all year round.
“Italy represents both an ideal combination of production capacity with its advanced ma manufacturing infrastructure and opportunities for the development of green energy. Italy is one of the sunniest countries in Europe, and it is also among the leaders in the development of alternative energy in the region. Since sustainability is a priority for us, all this makes Italy the perfect place for our new factory, which we plan to make 100% carbon neutral by the end of the year,” says Ann Snitko, Chief Product Officer at OMNIC.
The production is about to start by the end of Q2 2024. The estimated capacity of the Italian factory alone will be approximately 5,000 units per year. Together with the other OMNIC manufacturing facilities located in other countries, the annual volume of produced lockers is expected to reach 30,000.
As for the office, it will be located in the center of Milan. The company is planning to hire about 50 full-time employees by the end of 2024. Moreover, OMNIC will cooperate with over 500 scouts across Italy in order to enrich the AI-based location management system.
